About Berkshire Tree Service

Up where Route 9 climbs onto the Windsor plateau, a storm can come over the ridge at midnight and leave the spruce and hemlock bowed nearly to the ground by morning. Berkshire Tree Service works among these woods, and when winter piles onto the hilltop town it turns that same strength to clearing snow. Driveways that wind back through the evergreens get opened wide, the banks shouldered off so the next squall has somewhere to go. There is real satisfaction in it: a lane cut between white walls, one set of tire tracks on it, the forest still hushed on either side. In a town this high, that open road is the whole difference between snowed in and on your way.
