C&J Lawnmower

About C&J Lawnmower

Long before the highways came, the Middlesex Canal carried its slow water across Wilmington, and the line of it still runs like an old seam behind these back yards. C&J Lawnmower works that same flat green ground week by week: mowing on a steady rhythm, trimming along fence lines and foundations, edging that gives a lawn its finished outline, and cleanups in spring and again when the leaves come down. Midsummer here smells of cut grass and warm pine pitch, and a yard finished in even, overlapping passes reads that way from the sidewalk. Clippings gone, edges crisp, the whole street looks better by Saturday afternoon. That is the pleasure of the job, repeated all season long.
