About Roots Deep | Lawn Care & Landscaping Services on the South Shore, MA

The Mill River works its way down through Weymouth toward the harbor, and the ground it left behind is that sandy, stony South Shore mix that grows a fine lawn once you understand what it wants. Roots Deep takes its name seriously — mowing at a height that lets turf reach down, trimming and edging so a yard has a defined shape, cleanups in spring and fall to clear the way for it. Shallow grass surrenders in the first dry August; grass with something underneath it merely shrugs. So the calendar gets built around the plant rather than around the appointment. A green lawn here in late summer is not an accident.
