Nadeau Tree Service

About Nadeau Tree Service

The wind in Westport arrives with salt in it, off Buzzards Bay and up both branches of the river, and every tree on the farm lots leans a little to prove it. Nadeau Tree Service works that leaning country — pruning the sheared crowns above the stone walls, trimming maples back from barn roofs, taking down what a season of sou'westers has finally loosened. Storm cleanup on this coast has its own calendar: a squall crosses Horseneck and by morning there are limbs in the pasture and a farm lane that needs opening before anyone can get out. Removal near the marsh is patient work, dropped in short pieces onto soft ground that remembers everything. What stays with you is the after — the field edge tidy, the sky bigger, the salt wind moving through instead of against.
