In February, Meetinghouse Pond lies flat and white and the cold sits in the hollows well past sunrise. Marty's Construction INC plows the driveways and lots around it, taking the snow down to the surface and pushing banks back before they narrow a drive. Walkways are shoveled and treated so ice doesn't set up in the shaded stretches. When a storm runs long the route gets run twice, once to keep up with it and once to finish. The measure of the job is simple enough: nobody gets stuck getting out.
