About Marion Excavating Co., Inc.

Route 66 runs the ridge through Westhampton past sugarbush and stone wall, and in deep winter the town goes white right to the treetops. Marion Excavating Co., Inc. keeps that landscape passable, plowing driveways, opening farm turnarounds, and clearing dooryards and walks once the drifting stops. Hill-country snow is often the wet, heavy kind that comes up the Berkshire slope and packs into every low spot. The trucks work it storm by storm, then come back when the plow-line at the end of the drive gets thrown up again. By the time sugarhouse steam is rising in March, these roads have been opened more times than anybody counts.
