About Global Industrial Services

West Springfield spreads out flat and wide along the Connecticut, a town of big pavement — fairground acreage, riverside yards, long approaches off Riverdale that all have to be open by opening time. Global Industrial Services takes on that scale in winter, plowing lots end to end, stacking snow where it will not block a lane, and salting before ice has a chance to set. Storms track up the river valley and often turn over to sleet halfway through, which is exactly when the work gets particular. Walks and entryways are cleared by hand so no one has to pick their way in from a car. There is real pride in a lot that looks black and dry at seven in the morning after a night nobody slept through.
