In East Walpole the Neponset keeps moving all winter while Bird Park goes silent under a foot of new snow, the sycamores standing out black against it. Akr Sealcoating spends those days clearing pavement — plowing driveways and parking areas, cutting the banks back so a turnaround stays usable, shoveling walks down to the surface and treating them with salt or sand. A storm looks simple from a window and never is: wind refills what you have just cleared, and the second pass often matters more than the first. The measure of the work is a lot that drains and a walk nobody slips on. Walpole hands out plenty of chances to test it.
