Thomas Burke Roofing & Gutters

About Thomas Burke Roofing & Gutters

Wakefield's older rooflines carry more snow than they look built to hold, and a February thaw finds every eave in town. Thomas Burke Roofing & Gutters takes on snow work when the storms stack up one on another — roofs relieved of their load, eaves and gutter lines opened, driveways and walkways plowed and shoveled, salt where the runoff freezes at the foot of the steps. Standing near the Rockery after a big one, you can hear an entire street dripping at once. The work is careful by necessity, done in an order that keeps both the house and the people under it out of trouble. Then the roof goes quiet again and winter carries on.
