On the Saugus side of Wakefield the pines of Breakheart stand dark against February, and everything beneath them takes its time about thawing. Norway Landscaping plows and shovels those shaded streets — driveways opened to the road, paths cut clean to the door, sand and salt laid where the sun never quite lands all winter. Warm weather flips the whole operation to mowing, edging, trimming, mulch and the cleanups that open and close the growing season. Pine needles and oak leaves both have to be hauled here, which is its own particular arithmetic in this corner of town. It is a full year of tending the same ground under very different weather.
