Bob's Tree Work

About Bob's Tree Work

From Lookout Rock the whole valley opens up — the Blackstone bending south, roofs and yards laid out below like a map of the week ahead. Bob's Tree Work keeps that ground in order: grass cut to a clean line through the green months, driveways opened again once the valley goes white and quiet. There is a particular pleasure in an edge that holds, the border between lawn and walk drawn sharp enough to run a finger along. In winter the pleasure changes shape — headlights swinging into a dark driveway, the blade down, a clear path waiting before the coffee is made. Weather comes over these hills without much warning, and the answer is simply to be out in it early.
