By mid-October, Willard Brook State Forest turns the whole west end of Townsend gold, and then it all comes down at once into everybody's yard. Leaf and Limb handles that aftermath and everything leading up to it: mowing through the growing months, trimming and edging, spring cleanup, and the long fall haul of raking and leaf removal. A yard stripped clean in November feels twice the size it was in September. Then the mower lines come back in May as though nothing ever happened. It is a Townsend rhythm, and it suits the work.
