Bilzerian Tree & Land

About Bilzerian Tree & Land

Vineyard Haven wakes to the harbor first — halyards, a ferry horn, the light coming flat off the water at West Chop — and every property above the bluff lives with salt in the air and in everything that grows. Bilzerian Tree & Land works both sides of the Tisbury year: mowing, trimming and edging through the green months, cleanups as the summer thins out, then plowing, shoveling and ice control when a nor'easter lays wet snow across the island. Winter here is short-tempered and briny, the snow heavy, and the lanes down toward Lake Tashmoo need opening before it packs hard. There is something deeply satisfying about keeping an island place open when the boats are running light. Off-season Tisbury is its own reward, and this work fits inside it.
