About Grounds Up Landscape & Design

Down where Tewksbury meets the Merrimack, the riverbank turns copper in late October and the wind begins carrying a warning. Grounds Up Landscape & Design spends that stretch on fall cleanups — leaves off the lawn, beds cut back, the property put away clean — after a summer of mowing, trimming, and edging that kept the place sharp week to week. Then the first storm arrives and the work becomes plows and shovels: driveways opened, walks cleared, sand wherever the pitch demands it. There is a particular pleasure in the handoff, the last load of leaves and then the first push of snow. Either way, the yard ends up looking looked-after, which is the whole idea.
