Tewksbury sits where 495 and 93 come close together, which means a great deal of pavement has to be usable before anybody's alarm goes off. Mainely Grass takes that on through the winter — plowing lots and driveways, clearing walks and entries, sanding the approaches — and through the warm months keeps those same grounds mown, trimmed, and edged. Summer here runs lush after a wet spring, so mowing happens on a weekly rhythm rather than whenever someone gets around to it. Fall is leaves, endlessly, and then the ground hardens and the plow frames come off the rack. Between the two there is one straightforward goal: green when it ought to be green, clear when it ought to be clear.
