Grasshopper Irrigation

About Grasshopper Irrigation

By midsummer the lawns out near Ames Pond can go from deep green to straw in a fortnight if nobody is paying attention. Grasshopper Irrigation keeps them on the right side of that line with steady mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanups timed to how the grass is actually growing rather than to the calendar. Tewksbury summers are humid and sudden — a thunderstorm rolls through and by the weekend everything wants cutting twice. Autumn brings the long, patient work of getting leaves off the turf before they smother it, and spring starts by clearing away whatever winter left behind. A lawn that holds its color into August is worth every bit of the trouble it took.
