Vieira's Tree Service and Stump Grinding

About Vieira's Tree Service and Stump Grinding

Salt air moves inland from Mount Hope Bay across Swansea, up the Cole and the Palmer, and most everything that grows here grows with a lean to it. Vieira's Tree Service and Stump Grinding takes down the trees that have finished — the split maple, the pine that has crept over the septic line — and then comes back for what is left. Stump grinding is the part people underestimate: the stump goes below grade, the chips go back in the hole, and by midsummer the lawn has closed the seam. Tree trimming keeps the rest of the yard in balance, canopy up off the roof and the fence, salt-burned wood out of the crown. Out on Gardners Neck the reward is simple — flat ground, open sky, a mower that can go straight through.
