About Swansea Construction Corp

Snow off Mount Hope Bay arrives wet and heavy, the kind that bends the arborvitae over the walk and sets up like concrete by morning. Swansea Construction Corp gets out ahead of it — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and entries, and salting the spots that glaze first down in the Palmer and Lees river bottoms. Three in the morning on Route 6 is a lonely stretch of road, and it is exactly where the work has to happen if a town is going to open on time. The satisfaction is the empty driveway at daybreak: black pavement, banks pushed back where they belong, nothing left to shovel. Swansea and its neighbors, for every storm the winter sends up the bay.
