About PlantParenthood

Swampscott dooryards are small and generous — a strip of lawn, a hedge, a border of something blooming beside the steps, all of it fitted onto a lot the size of a handkerchief. PlantParenthood mows, trims and edges those little greens, the kind of ground where a mower is steered rather than driven. In May the whole town smells of cut grass and lilac at once, and the tidy yards near Linscott Park look fussed over because they have been. Cleanups in spring and fall keep the beds honest and the turf clear of whatever blew in. Small ground, close attention — it adds up fast.
