a Blade of Grass

About a Blade of Grass

First light over the Sudbury River meadows and everything is silver — the hay, the cattails, the lawn between the house and the tree line. a Blade of Grass begins the day in that wet grass: mowing, trimming, edging beds, mulching, and the big cleanups that bracket the growing year. When the meadows freeze and the storms arrive out of the northwest, the same trucks are out plowing drives and clearing walks before breakfast. The name is the whole philosophy — pay attention at that scale and the acre takes care of itself.
