About Landscape Works Inc.

At Gleasondale the old mill still stands over the dam, and in January the water goes on talking under a lid of ice while the rest of Stow sleeps. That is the hour Landscape Works Inc. is out — headlights along Route 62, plow down, driveways opened and walks sanded before the first commuter turns a key. Come April the same routes get mowed instead of pushed, with cleanups, mulch, trimming and the steady weekly cut all summer. The reward is small and exact: a black driveway at six in the morning, or a lawn striped even to the mailbox post. Snow and lawn work for Stow, Maynard, Hudson and Bolton.
