About Sustainable Lawn Care

Winter presses the marshes of the Assabet River refuge into one pale plain, and out at Minute Man Air Field the windsock stands straight for days at a stretch. Sustainable Lawn Care runs Stow through that stretch — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and entries, and putting salt and sand on the shaded pitches that never see noon. Then the thaw arrives, the refuge goes loud with birds, and those same properties want mowing, edging, trimming and a spring cleanup to shake off five months of weather. Working both ends of the calendar means knowing where a plow bank will sit in January and where the turf under it will need help in April. Stow and the towns around it, from the first squall to the last leaf.
