About Cliffstone Corporation

Bear Hill rises behind Stoneham with old puddingstone ledge showing through the oaks, and half the yards in town are laid out on the terraces and slopes that ledge left behind. Cliffstone Corporation works that terrain year-round — mowing and trimming the tricky grades, edging along walks and drives, and clearing yards out in spring and again after the leaves come down. In winter the same properties get plowed, their walkways opened and their ice broken up with salt and sand, which is no small matter on a driveway with a pitch to it. Rocky ground and steep aprons reward planning: where the snow gets stacked, where the runoff will freeze, where the mower has to change direction. Get it right and the property behaves itself all season.
