About Boino Does It

Stockbridge in December looks the way people picture it — Main Street under a fresh inch, the Housatonic running black between white banks, the hills above town gone completely quiet. Boino Does It keeps that picture usable: plowing the long Berkshire driveways, clearing walks and doorways, spreading sand on the pitched approaches that turn slick before anything else does. Snow arrives heavier up here than it does down in the valley, and it stays, so the route runs through a storm rather than waiting politely for the end of one. There is genuine satisfaction in a steep drive opened wide and squared off at the road, ready for whatever the town has going on. Winter is the entire job, and these hills supply plenty of it.
