About Favreau Forestry

Where Sterling runs up against the pines at the edge of Leominster State Forest, snow falls quieter and lingers a good deal longer than it does out in the open. Favreau Forestry works that winter ground — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and steps, and spreading salt and sand where shade keeps the ice honest company until March. A storm out here is a night job as often as a day one, headlights on falling flakes, the woods soaking up every sound but the blade. There is real pride in a driveway that opens all the way to the edges, no scallops, no ridge left across the apron. When the sun finally reaches those properties, everything under it is already passable.
