Baldarelli And Sons

About Baldarelli And Sons

By late October the apple hill at Sholan Farms has gone gold above Sterling, and the wind that empties those rows carries a warning with it. Baldarelli And Sons takes up the other half of the year from there — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways and steps, and putting down salt and sand where ice likes to set. Central Massachusetts snow can arrive as fine powder or as the heavy grey kind that bends the pine limbs down over a driveway; either way the work is the same and it happens early. Getting a property opened and passable before the town is properly awake is a quiet kind of pride, and it never gets old. Between storms the goal is straightforward: keep every surface people actually walk and drive on honest underfoot.
