Hungry Hill stands above the rest of the city, and nearly every driveway up there runs downhill toward the street — a small blessing in June, a real problem in January. A & M Landscaping keeps those properties through both: mowing, trimming and cleanups while the grass is running, plowing and salting once the pavement turns white. Winter arrives here in the dark, usually overnight, and the work gets finished before the first commuter backs out. Come spring the same trucks are back with mowers, squaring up the edges along Liberty Street and the side roads that spill off it. Two trades, one list of addresses, and a route the crew could drive with the headlights off.
