The North River winds inland through marsh grass that goes gold in October, and the tide reaches farther up it than anyone expects. River Stone Landscape works the ground above that waterline: mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanups in spring and again once the marsh has gone brown. Growth on the river side is thick and quick in summer, so the schedule keeps pace with it instead of chasing it. Winter brings plowing and shoveling — driveways opened, steps cleared, salt on the walks where the damp cold sets ice by evening. Between the two rivers there are a great many quiet lanes, and a well-kept yard shows on every one of them.
