Cape Curb Appeal

About Cape Curb Appeal

When a nor'easter comes up Cape Cod Bay, Scusset Beach catches it first and Sandwich catches it next — wind driving wet snow until it packs hard against a garage door. Cape Curb Appeal answers that weather with plowing, shoveling and sanding, opening driveways while the storm is still blowing and again after it lets go, so nobody wakes to a berm across the apron. Walks, steps and parking areas get taken down to the pavement, corners squared, the mailbox left reachable. Ice is treated where it wants to form: the bottom of a slope, the north side of a house, the shaded turn at the end of a lane. Having a drive open before the first car of the day needs to back out is reward enough for the hour.
