About Plumley Landscaping Inc.

Russell sits down in the Westfield River valley where the hills crowd close and the road and the water run side by side. Snow falls heavier up on the shoulders than it does along Route 20, and nearly every driveway in town seems to climb. Plumley Landscaping Inc. plows and sands those grades, opening the steepest ones first and salting the shaded switchbacks where river fog freezes overnight. Down in Woronoco the old mill village wakes to a cleared street and a fresh white stack along the bank. In a hill town, getting out is the whole job, and it gets done before the light finds the ridge.
