In February the Rowley marsh goes the color of old hay and the tide slides in under a skin of ice; up on the drier ground, driveways still need opening. B & M Landscaping and Construction inc. keeps the blade down through those weeks, clearing drives and lots and laying sand on the shaded runs, then trades it for the mower when the marsh greens up in May. Warm months mean weekly cuts, trimmed edges, mulched beds and cleanups front and back. The first mow of the season and the last push of a long storm night have something in common — both leave a clean line where there wasn't one.
