Spring reaches Revere from the water inward: crocuses come up along Shirley Ave first, the Wonderland lots dry out, and the grass in every dooryard goes from grey to green in about a fortnight. Twins Landscaping and construction inc. opens the season there with cleanups — winter sand raked out, beds cut back and edged — and then holds it with weekly mowing and trimming all summer. Densely built streets mean tight turns, hand work, and a lot of blowing off before leaving, and that attention is exactly what shows. Mulch goes down fresh, the lines get cut straight, and a small yard reads twice its size. By November the leaves are off and the whole route is put away neat.
