The shade on a Revere side street was planted by somebody, tree by tree, and it is the reason a July sidewalk is bearable at all. Ramos Tree Planting & Landscaping, LLC keeps the ground under that canopy in order — mowing and trimming through the growing season, edging along the pavement, mulch in the beds and cleanups in spring and fall. Once the leaves are down and the cold sets in, the work shifts to snow: plowing driveways, clearing walks and steps, salting the places that glaze over first. Bare branches in February make the city's geography plain, the rise of the neighborhoods and the flat run out toward the water. Come back in May and it has closed over green again, with the yards underneath ready for another season.
