The Cochato River threads the eastern edge of Randolph, slow and half-hidden, and out at Powers Farm the old hayfields still open up between the house lots. Pohl's Landscaping mows and maintains yards across the town — weekly cuts, trimming, beds edged and mulched, cleanups in spring and again in fall when the season turns over. Midsummer is the test: heat, growth, and grass that wants cutting twice a week, and the answer is simply showing up on the day. A yard that stays even and green through August is nobody's accident. When October comes the leaves go, the beds are put down, and the lawn is handed to winter in good order.
