Above Willard Street the old quarry hills take the first snow in the city, a dusting on the ledges hours before it reaches the shore. Plowguys of Quincy starts the winter there and works down — driveways and lots plowed, walks opened, banks pushed back so the streets stay wide through a long storm. Then July comes, the same trucks trade blades for mowers, and the route turns into mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups. Two seasons, one set of streets, and the same measure of a job done: can somebody pull in, walk up and feel that the place is squared away? Quincy asks that question twice a year, and this outfit answers it both times.
