Turf N Timber

About Turf N Timber

Along Long Pond Road the woods press close — white oak, pine, a glimpse of Halfway Pond through the trunks — and most lawns out there are a clearing the forest would happily take back. Turf N Timber works that line. Mowing on schedule, edges held against the encroaching brush, thin shaded turf overseeded and fed until it thickens, limbs and undergrowth cut back off the lawn, and every autumn the long haul of leaves off grass that gets buried three times over. The pleasure is in the contrast: rough woods on one side, an even green field on the other, and a clean boundary between them. In this part of Plymouth that boundary has to be earned twice a year, and it is.
