S&M Property Maintenance

About S&M Property Maintenance

Downtown Pittsfield keeps its green in small pieces — the strips beside North Street parking, the tight front lawns on the blocks running off Park Square, the patch of grass behind a storefront that nobody sees except everybody who works there. S&M Property Maintenance takes those on at midday, mower and trimmer out of the truck, in and out without tying up a block. The work is mowing, trimming close along brick and curb and sign post, edging the concrete, and clearing the clippings so the sidewalk looks swept when it's done. Small properties are unforgiving that way: with only a little grass to look at, every missed line shows. Getting them right is a good, particular kind of craft, and it changes how a street feels to walk down.
