About MAK Landscape & Excavation LLC

April in the Berkshires is mud before it is anything else -- the frost lets go, the ground softens, and every lawn in Pittsfield decides what sort of summer it intends to have. MAK Landscape & Excavation LLC starts right there: mowing once the grass takes hold, trimming and edging the borders back into shape, keeping cuttings off the walks and drives. The soil up here is glacial and uneven, and lawns on it want a rhythm they can count on. There is real pleasure in the first cut of the year, when the color comes back all at once. From then on it is a matter of showing up weekly until the leaves are down.
