Countywide Snow Plows

About Countywide Snow Plows

Berkshire County can keep several winters going at once -- rain in the valley, sleet on the shoulder of the hills, and real snow up in Windsor and Peru while Pittsfield is still merely wet. Countywide Snow Plows runs out into that spread, plowing driveways and parking areas, clearing walkways by hand, and salting or sanding the grades where a car might lose its footing. A back road at four in the morning, headlights full of falling flakes, is a lonely and satisfying place to be. The measure of a good night is simple: everyone gets out, and nobody has to think about how. That is what the trucks are for.
