The Blade & Flake Landscaping

About The Blade & Flake Landscaping

Mud season loosens its grip on Pittsfield sometime in late April, and then the east side of town greens up almost overnight along the road toward Dalton. The Blade & Flake Landscaping lives for that first cut — the deck set high, the winter's matted thatch combed out, the yard suddenly looking like a yard again. Through the warm months it's mowing on rhythm, trimming the edges back to a hard line, and cleanups in spring and fall when the beds need clearing. Berkshire lawns take a beating from a long cold, so the early work is half repair: raking, hauling, opening the grass back up to the light. By June the blade has done its part, and a Pittsfield lawn stands up straight and even from the street to the back fence.
