DJA ENTERPRISES (LANDSCAPING & SNOW REMOVAL)

About DJA ENTERPRISES (LANDSCAPING & SNOW REMOVAL)

Storms reach Peabody off the water and stiffen as they climb inland toward Route 128, and the work begins hours before anyone else is awake. DJA ENTERPRISES (LANDSCAPING & SNOW REMOVAL) runs plows through the dark, opening driveways and lots so the first car out at six finds pavement instead of a wall. Walks are shoveled to their full width, not a footpath, and salt goes down where the afternoon melt will refreeze at dusk. Between storms the banks get pushed back, so February still has somewhere to put January. It is cold, unglamorous, genuinely necessary work — and the reward is a cleared drive steaming faintly while the sky is still going gray.
