About DeMatos Landscaping Inc.

Main Street in Peabody carries a lot of accents — Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, Italian — and for one long summer afternoon a year the whole stretch fills up for the city's festival. DeMatos Landscaping Inc. works the streets on either side of it: mowing, trimming, edging, weeding and seasonal cleanups on the tight, proud lots of a working city. August is the hard month, heat pressing down and the grass either racing or going dormant depending on the rain. Reading a lawn correctly through that stretch is most of the skill. Come Labor Day the yards under its care are still green and still even.
