The Independence Greenway thaws before anything else in Peabody — bare pavement, mud along the shoulders, the first walkers back out in early April. C&C Landscaping Co. keeps both halves of the local year: mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups when the grass is running, and clearing drives and walks and putting salt down when it is not. The same properties, the same gates and grades, learned in both directions. A lawn cut to a true line in July and a driveway opened flat in January come from the same instinct doing different work.
