About Grass Roots Landscaping

At six on a June morning the Cape Cod Rail Trail through Orleans belongs to bicycle tires and birdsong, and to a mower warming up somewhere just off the path. Grass Roots Landscaping likes that hour best — cool air, long shadows, the day's first lawn cut before the heat makes an opinion of itself. Trimming, edging, cleanups: small decisions repeated until a yard looks composed instead of merely maintained. February turns the same neighborhoods hard and glittering, and the work becomes plowing, opening drives and walks under a sky that keeps threatening more. The trail freezes, the mowers sleep, and the trucks keep the town moving.
