Lorax Tree Services

About Lorax Tree Services

The Ipswich River takes its time crossing North Reading, looping through swamp maple and birch on its way east, and in February the whole floodplain goes the color of pewter. Lorax Tree Services works that low ground and the neighborhoods above it — around Martins Pond, out along Park Street, back on the roads where the lots end in white pine. Removals here often mean a tall pine that has begun leaning toward a bedroom window; trimming means getting deadwood out over a swing set before summer arrives. Pruning is done with the next decade in mind, not just the next season, which is why a young tree here gets shaped while shaping is still easy. And when a wet storm strips branches across a street, the cleanup is finished only when a neighbor can't tell where the pile was.
