About Chaves Outdoor Maintenance LLC

Fog gathers low in the Quaboag hollows on a North Brookfield summer morning and burns off from the top of the hill down, so the common is bright while the ponds are still smoking. Chaves Outdoor Maintenance LLC starts in that hour, when the grass is heavy with dew and the mower leaves a dark stripe you can read from the road. Yards here are honest and uneven — old shoe-shop brick at the center, then pasture edges, apple-scrub hedgerows and dooryards that slope toward Brooks Pond — and each one asks for a slightly different line. The satisfaction is in the finish: the trimmer work tight around the granite posts, the walk edged, the beds cleared of a winter's worth of oak leaves in spring and a maple's worth in fall. It is a town that notices a well-kept yard, and this is work made to be noticed.
