About Foley and Son Landscaping

Storms have a habit of hesitating at the Rhode Island line, and North Attleborough sits right in that argument between snow and rain. Foley and Son Landscaping reads it for a living: the wet, heavy inch that comes at midnight, the flip to sleet near dawn, the freeze that follows and turns yesterday's slush into something a tire cannot climb. So the plow goes out early and goes out again, and the sand goes down where the pitch of a driveway makes its own small mountain. Out at World War I Memorial Park the bison stand in the falling white as if none of this is a problem, and by then the drives along the surrounding streets are open, wall to wall, with the mailbox left standing. The result is simple enough to hold in one hand: a way out, before anyone needs it.
