Snow King

About Snow King

At midnight out toward the Boxford line the streetlights thin to nothing and the snow comes down through the dark in slow, sideways sheets. Snow King works those hours across North Andover, plowing drives and lots, clearing walkways by hand where a blade cannot reach, and laying salt and sand ahead of the freeze. The roads here run uphill and down between the lake and the river, so every property poses a slightly different question about where the snow should go. Answer it well and the piles sit out of the way until March instead of blocking the view at the end of the drive. The best compliment in this line of work is silence — a driveway already open before anyone thought to worry.
