About Peter DiClemente Landscaping

Waban in June is all dappled shade — big maples over the side streets, hedges thick, the ground sloping away toward the river. Peter DiClemente Landscaping mows those lawns on a weekly turn, walking the trimmer around stone walls and fence posts where a mower cannot sit square. Shade lawns are their own puzzle: cut a little higher, keep the blades sharp, take the clippings off before they mat. Come October there are leaves enough to bury a yard twice over, and the cleanup runs until the beds are bare and the grass can breathe again. A finished lawn on a Waban afternoon has that even, brushed look — striped, edged, nothing left on the walk.
