Oak Hill goes very quiet on a January night — long driveways, wide setbacks, a lot of dark between the porch lights. O&R Landscaping & Construction LLC spends those nights moving snow off them, plowing the full run of a drive, opening the turnaround, clearing a path from the car door to the front door that is wide and unmistakable. Newton storms often start as rain and turn, which leaves a heavy bottom layer that has to be broken before it locks up. Working through the night is what makes the morning somebody else's ordinary Tuesday. That is the point of the whole exercise.
